The Wild Beauty of Whatipu Beach - Exploring Auckland Beaches.

Image
Whatipu beach is one of the west coast beaches of Auckland, New Zealand, which is managed by Auckland Council. Very beautiful beach and a good destination for a one day picnic. Approximately 1hr drive from Auckland City. We started, from our place, at 12.30pm and it took 55 minutes to reach there. The drive was good, no heavy traffic and the weather was good too. On the way to Whatipu beach, there are small beaches, parks and fishing points. We stopped there, took some photos, enjoyed the beauty of the seashore and started our journey to the beach. We have to drive through an unsealed narrow and curvy road around 20 to 25 minutes to reach the beach. Make sure that you drive slowly and carefully. It was not crowded on that day. There were enough parking spaces. Toilet facility is also available there. Camping facility is available, but we need to get the permit to camp there. To reach the beach, we have to walk 15 mnts through the black sand. We were wearing sa

Incredible Munnar

Image
We planned a short trip to Munnar. I visited Munnar before, 3 to 4 times, along with my school / college mates and along with my family. This trip we planned only for our kid. My daughter is having two intimate friends. Their friendship started from their pre-kg classes. We, their parents , are also good friends now. We don't really want to break their friendship. We selected Munnar because of the cool climate. I was sure that kids will really enjoy the climate and the place. On the way to Munnar We booked a Qualis and started the journey by 1.30 p.m. from Ernakulam. It was very hot. Sign of the Kingdom - On the way to Munnar It's the place you would love to visit - it's the place you would wish never to leave Incredible Munnar The name Munnar is believed to be derived from the Malayalam / Tamil words Munu (three) and aaru (river), referring to the town's strategic location at the confluence of the Muthirappuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly rivers
